Northern Cotswolds: Moreton-in-Marsh Loops

Discover the gorgeous north Cotswolds through three stunning loops of 50km, 75km and 100km.

We created three routes of varying distances so everyone can explore the northern Cotswolds. These loops are full to the brim of picturesque beauty and whatever season you embark on these rides, something will always catch your eye.

Cyclists in a traditional Cotswolds village

Exploring the Cotswolds feels as if you are taking a step into times when horses, carts and bikes were the main modes of transport. In this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty you are never far away from a town filled with heritage and history.

In April the magnolia blossoms make everything so dreamy and in May the lush wisterias hang on the walls of fairytale-like ochre cottages. In autumn the changing colours of the season are just incredible.

The loops we have created pass by some of the prettiest villages in the northern part of the Cotswolds. Our personal favourites are; Chipping Campden and Winchcombe.

No ride would be complete without a coffee stop. Luckily you can stop for tea and cake in any of the villages, however, one lovely tearoom stood out. Lucy's tearoom is nestled in the lovely village Stow on the Wold. The ideal place to have some fresh scones with clotted cream and jam: simply delicious!

Before you set off in search of more gorgeous villages, make sure you check out St Edwards’ church and it's tree door too!

We found that staying in a traditional Cotswold cottage and eating at the local gastro pubs completed our Cotswold experience. If you’re in search of a pub recommendation we have the highest praise for The Porch House in Stow on the Wold and The Wheatsheaf Inn in Cheltenham.
