BAD HABITS
Some Habits are worth keeping
Welcome to Bad Habits, Moloko’s new winter ride series.
Six months. Six rides. Six different excuses to keep getting out on the bike when it would be very easy not to.
From night rides and filthy gravel to big breakfasts, bad weather and very long days out, each event has its own personality, route and experience, but the idea behind them all is the same: keep riding, keep showing up, and make winter something to look forward to.
Expect great routes, good people, a few questionable decisions and some brilliant brand partners along the way.
Collect your Bad Habits stamps: You’ll receive one stamp for every Bad Habits event you complete!
Collect 4 stamps or more across the series and you’ll unlock your entry into our Bad Habits Lucky Dip, packed with prizes from the brands partnering with us throughout the winter.
THE DIRTY DOZEN: One hill is sensible. Twelve feels more like us.
For the second edition of Bad Habits, we’re heading into the Surrey Hills for a road ride built around climbing.
Some will be short and sharp. Some will be a little longer than you’d like. A few will probably make you question your gearing choices entirely.
You don’t need to be the fastest climber in the group. You just need to be prepared to keep going when someone says:
“One more hill.”
Some habits are worth keeping.
Along the way, Wahoo will be joining us for a hands-on tech session, giving you the chance to get familiar with their latest cycling computers and, more importantly, learn how to make the most of their climbing and navigation features.
We’ll look at how to use your computer to understand what’s coming up, read climbs, pace your effort and navigate the route - so you can spend less time wondering “how much longer?” and more time knowing exactly what you’re taking on.
