Colombia | The Andes

From Bogotá to Medellín, an extraordinary cycling adventure through the heart of Colombia.

Event Details

  • Ten days, two iconic Colombian cities, the mighty Andes and some of the most spectacular climbing in the world.

Starting in Bogotá and finishing in Medellín, this point-to-point adventure takes us across the Colombian Andes, through remote mountain villages, lush coffee landscapes and breathtaking valleys.

Along the way, we'll tackle the legendary Alto del Sifón and Alto de Letras, ride above the clouds with views towards the glaciers, discover Colombia's vibrant culture and enjoy its incredible hospitality.

This is more than a cycling holiday. It's an opportunity to discover Colombia from within, with a group of like-minded adventurers.

    • 10 days | 9 nights from Bogotá to Medellín

    • Legendary climbs including Alto del Sifón and Alto de Letras

  • Throughout our journey, we'll stay in a selection of handpicked hotels, chosen for their character, comfort and Colombian hospitality.

From vibrant Bogotá to peaceful mountain retreats, charming colonial towns and the coffee-growing countryside, each stop offers a different experience of Colombia.

Our carefully curated route takes us from the Bogotá Savanna across the Magdalena Valley and into the Andes, with climbs reaching high into the mountains: expect big days in the saddle, long climbs and some riding at altitude.

This Escape is best suited to confident cyclists who enjoy climbing and are comfortable riding longer distances with significant elevation gain.

We'll also make time to slow down, with two rest days offering opportunities to hike through the incredible Samaria Valley, discover local wildlife, relax in natural hot springs or learn more about Colombia's famous coffee culture.

  • The Moloko Way

The best adventures are the ones we share.

Great riding is only part of what makes a Moloko Escape special. It's the people you meet, the places you discover and the memories you bring home.

With a small group of 18 guests, three experienced ride leaders (including a local Colombian guide) and all the logistics taken care of, you can focus on enjoying every moment, on and off the bike.

And there's so much more to Colombia than its incredible roads.

From Bogotá's famous Sunday Ciclovía to traditional mountain villages, colourful markets and the heart of Colombia's coffee region, we've designed this journey to experience the country beyond the bike. Think local cuisine, Colombian coffee at its source and plenty of opportunities to discover the people and places that make this country so special.

And of course, we'll finish our adventure in Medellín, one of Colombia's most vibrant cities.

    Fancy staying a little longer?

After ten days exploring Colombia by bike, why not swap the mountains for the Caribbean coast?

We're exploring an optional extension, giving you a few extra days to discover another side of Colombia. Think turquoise waters, palm-lined beaches and some well-earned downtime after all that climbing.

Let us know if you'd be interested!

  • Flights must be purchased separately, please wait for us to e-mail the timing details before you book flights.

Optional Caribbean extension: We're exploring a few extra days on Colombia's Caribbean coast after the Escape and will add more details here soon.
